For this year’s windows, inspiration was derived from exploring the possibilities for sustainable energy solutions. “The windows represent all the natural resources available to us,” explains Manena Frazier, visual director at ABC Carpet & Home. Therefore, each window tells the story of a potential energy source: from tidal and geothermal to wind-based and solar. She continues, “We have everything we need to sustain ourselves. It doesn’t have to be as complicated as it is, and science does not need to be corrosive to nature.” To illustrate this, the windows subtly reference the scientific world existing within the context of nature, thus exhibiting the deep alignment of the two. “There is magic when all of these forces come together,” Manena points out. If the windows are any indication of this, we thoroughly agree.
