While always looking for new ways to incorporate our rooftop garden into ABC Kitchen, we began to feel the sun’s loud beat on our back. Christine Ra, our beverage expert, took note of the mercury on the rise and what resulted was the new Rhubarb Wine Cooler.
We’re fortunate, in our mixology laboratory, to have a sophisticated judge’s table. Our specialty cocktails are unique in that Jean-Georges’ palette is a part of the collaboration to create a masterful end product – an expert libation, a refreshing reward, and a compliment to taste buds.
Comprised of rhubarb juice from Organic Avenue, our continual nod to buying locally and seasonally-minded, the rhubarb’s tart is balanced with our house-made simple syrup infused with lemon verbena, chamomile, and lemon balm mint from our rooftop garden. Combined with Pinot Blanc from Alsace, birthplace of Jean-Georges, and brought to life with a bolt of bubbles, the Rhubarb Wine Cooler is a clean, subtle concoction to counteract the summer’s worst and ensure that only your glass will do the perspiring.
